Claudia Pascale, PhD
Claudia Pascale, PhD, is the Director of Psychological and Support Services at the Institute for Reproductive Medicine and Science in Livingston, NJ. As a psychologist and member of the treatment team at IRMS she helps patients and their families’ deal with the struggles of infertility; provides evaluations for donors and gestational carriers; and participates and oversees a myriad of educational services designed to help patients cope with the emotional, psychological and ethical dilemmas of infertility. She sees individuals and couples for counseling; organizes and offers support groups for multiple themes and offers support for the families of our IRMS patients when needed.
One of the most interesting and exciting roles for Dr. Pascale is her position in The Institute as a “hands on” member of the medical team. She has been in the mental health field since 1979, servicing a wide range of populations. She received her Ph.D. in Counseling from Fordham University and Behavioral Medicine training from Harvard Medical School’s Mind/Body Institute.
Dr. Pascale is trained in cognitive behavioral psychotherapy, as well as, utilizing eclectic methods and modalities in the treating the psychological aspects and related issues of maternal mental health. She is a past member of Resolve’s Mental Health Advisory Group; past chair of the Mental Health Professional Group of ASRM and the current MHPG representative on SART (Society of Reproductive Technology).
